  It’s no big secret that I am a huge fan of Joey Samson’s designs. Through the years he has been consistent in churning out carefully constructed articles of clothing that are always modern but timeless, and always fresh and edgy. He is my go-to designer. Joey never fails to come up with standout pieces that always push the envelope. He is the only one I know that can make a pantsuit look exciting, or overalls look chic. His gowns are never generic and plain–there is always something unique and different in his designs that you recognize it from across the room. I took a Publishing course at Columbia University last year, and for part of the program, found myself under the tutelage of some of New York City’s most experienced book and magazine art directors. Manila is buzzing with energy. Just drop by the Fort on any given night and you’ll know what I mean – if you aren’t already a propagator in it, that is. But, despite getting #sepanx from our beloved city and its wondrous nights on rare occasions that the party scene doesn’t cut it and we’re tucked safely in bed marinating in uneventfulness, we do wish we had more variety in terms of, errr, recreational choices.
