Going Cookoo over this watch

Posted on February 2, 2014

I’ve had my Cookoo watch for awhile now, and so far its become one of my favorite everyday watches. Not only because it looks good, and it wears so comfortably, but it connects to my phone and does really cool things like alert me when I have a new message or missed call, or if I’ve left my phone behind. This feature has been especially useful for me as I am constantly looking for my phone and worry that I’ve left it behind. Usually I find it in the deepest recesses of my bag, but its really great that I know its just within my reach because my watch doesn’t go off. No more, “OMG, I’ve left my phone!” haha. And other things like…

The Cream Factory

Posted on January 9, 2014

I don’t know about you, but for me, bath time equates to fun time. I have this thing about being clean, so this is one ritual I definitely enjoy. More so when I discovered THE CREAM FACTORY. This luxurious bath cream not only smells wonderful (with 12 amazing flavors to choose from), it is made from goat’s milk, which has all kinds of skin benefits. It has great things like vitamins and minerals in there, as well as probiotics and essential fatty acids–these help moisturize skin and allow all the good stuff to be easily absorbed. Not only that, it offers collagen growth, exfoliating properties, healing benefits, all while maintaining skin’s natural PH level. Plus, it contains 100% active botanical extracts that levels up…

The Neighborhood Pop Up Flea Market

Posted on November 22, 2013

What a fun concept. Its high time Metro Manila experienced a pop up flea market–a place where local, independent brands can sell their wares, where up-and-coming chefs can offer their unique dishes and designer drinks (they were mostly alcohol, but who’s complaining), and specialized establishments (like your neighborhood barber) can make available their services, all while listening to amazing bands. You may think of it as a collective, joint effort to bring the industry’s freshest brands together so they can properly introduce themselves. I mean, of course, we all love our malls filled with our favorite retail brands and restaurants. But once in awhile its good to venture out to new territory and see what else is out there. This is exactly what…

Making the most of your SMOKED & NAKED 2 palettes

Posted on October 26, 2013

Just to be sure, most of you do have your own NAKED palettes, right? If you just answered my question with, “nope” or worse, “what’s that”, then please, by all means, click on to http://www.pormada.com and purchase yourself at least one palette. Believe me, you’ll thank me for it! After all, Urban Decay’s NAKED palette is just one of the best eyeshadow palettes, ever (yes, EVER). It has such a cult following that the brand has launched more palettes to follow the first one, and honestly, I can’t seem to decide which one is the best one. Yes, the extensive set of beautiful, neutral eyeshadows are collectively called NAKED, and the pretty palettes that followed are NAKED 2, NAKED Basics, and SMOKED. I should…

Joey Samson X

Posted on October 14, 2013

It’s no big secret that I am a huge fan of Joey Samson’s designs. Through the years he has been consistent in churning out carefully constructed articles of clothing that are always modern but timeless, and always fresh and edgy. He is my go-to designer. Joey never fails to come up with standout pieces that always push the envelope. He is the only one I know that can make a pantsuit look exciting, or overalls look chic. His gowns are never generic and plain–there is always something unique and different in his designs that you recognize it from across the room. Like, you would immediately know its a Joey Samson design if you were familiar with his work. So of course when Joey…

How To: Pack Like A Pro

Posted on September 10, 2013

I am going on a month-long vacation (YAY) and I couldn’t be more excited for the trip. My husband and I planned this vacation months in advance, we could hardly believe the day is here! And after planning our itinerary meticulously, I come to the part I hate the most: packing. Now, I’m not sure how it is with you, but I hate packing. I’ve had such bad experience in the past paying for overweight/excess baggage only to find that I have nothing to wear when I get to my destination. I always seem to pack the wrong thing, and I think its because I have this fantasy of how I want to look (and it looks great in my head) but when I…

50 Shades of Green

Posted on September 2, 2013

Green is officially THE color of the season (yes, we’ve confirmed it while scouring through countless Fall/Winter 2013 runway photos from London, Milan, Paris and New York). We’ve seen the vibrant color in top fashion houses like Marc Jacobs, Celine, and Vivienne Westwood, as well as many other brands, such as Richard Chai Love, Cuchnie et Ochs, Manish Arora, and Acne. For once, all shades are veritable hits–from lime, mint and sea green, all the way to emerald, army and forest green. Really, its hard to make a mistake when pretty much all shades of the lovely color is must-wear this season. Though, okay, I understand in our country we DON’T really have Fall/Winter. But that shouldn’t stop us from staying on trend. I…

Model Off Duty Fashion Inspiration

Posted on August 27, 2013

(Photo: http://www.fashiontag.wordpress.com) When it comes to dressing up (or down), models really know what they’re doing. The lot of them pull together an outfit, with minimum effort. A fold here, and a tuck there, and voila–models immediately look stylish and painfully cool. I know what you’re thinking–they’ve got an unfair advantage here. They’re drop dead gorgeous, have amazing bodies, and they have access to the latest collections from top designers from all around the world. And they get paid millions of dollars to do it. (Okay, yes I have to agree with you here.) However, there is still something to learn here about the art of dressing. Most of the time we don’t see models looking so pristine and perfect when they flit from…

Mix & Match: Wear to Work

Posted on August 16, 2013

I found it. The perfect dress to wear for work! I don’t usually swoon over office attire, but I just felt like sharing this with you. This IORA black dress (P3,220) is all kinds of perfect, as you can easily take it from the office to dinner and drinks afterwards. Ultimately, I like how tailored it looks. It has a military feel that isn’t too literal, and its shape is made to flatter all body types and sizes. And if you were wondering just what to pair this with, well, I think this handsome oversized MAX XL Classic Chrono Brown watch (P13,600) goes perfectly well with it, as will these round spectacles from QUAY (its called Clear–P2,995). For makeup, a little blusher and mascara will…
