The MOD look: how to achieve 60’s makeup

Compare the likes of Twiggy, Brigitte Bardot, Edie Sedgwick, Pattie Boyd, Catherine Denuve and Jean Shrimpton—each one had a unique look, but had their own uncanny way of posing for the camera. What I love about these girls is that their eyes spoke volumes, which allowed them to look smoldering, carefree and innocent all at the same time. Makeup, of course, had a lot to do with their look. Big doll-like eyes became so popular that everyone wore it practically the same way during that time. And now, that same 60’s makeup look has made a comeback…
